Ich soll die Argumente von Arndt analysieren. Was sind die argumente von ihm?
Wir sind von Gott in den Mittelpunkt Europens gesetzt, wir sind das Herz unseres Weltteils, wir sind auch der Mittelpunkt der neuen Geschichte und der Kirche und des Christentums. Gerade weil wir in der Mitte liegen, stürmen und strömen alle verschiedensten Völker Europens immer auf uns ein und suchen uns wegzuspülen und wegzudrängen. [...] Wir haben also mehr als alle anderen Völker Ursache zu wachen, dass das Eigentümliche und Besondere, was uns als Deutsche, als ein bestimmtes Volk mit einem bestimmten Namen, auszeichnet, durch die Völkerflut und Geistesflut, die immer von uns und zu uns geht, nicht wegspült und weggewaschen werde; wir müssen dreifache und vierfache Bollwerke und Schanzen um uns aufführen, damit wir nicht zuletzt matte Bilder werden, welche allem und nichts ähnlich sehen und welche, weil sie Gestalt und Gepräge verloren haben, auch nichts andres gestalten und bilden können; dass ich es mit einem Wort sage, damit der Deutsche der große geistige Spiegel der Welt bleiben könne, muss er seine Eigentümlichkeit nicht verschleifen noch vertändeln: Er muss ein Deutscher bleiben. |

Going to graduate school was a positive decision for me. I enjoyed the coursework, the presentations, the fellow students, and the professors.
