Von geopolitischem Realismus hab´ ich im Zusammenhang mit Präsident Kennedy noch nie etwas gehört oder gelesen.

ja, wir haben uns phasen der amerikanischen außenpolitik aufgeschrieben
erste phase: containment von 1945-1951
zweite phase: roll back von 1952-1961
dritte phase: geopolitischer realismus ab 1961
vielleicht kann mir jetzt jemand helfen.

Vielleicht ist damit die langsame Entspannungsphase des Kalten Krieges gemeint? Nachdem die "Fronten" der USA und UdSSR sich mit dem Mauerbau 1961 festgefahren hatten und die beiden Länder in der Kubakrise um Haaresbreite an einem Atomkrieg vorbeigeschrammt waren, wollten sie vernünftigerweise eine wiederholte Eskalation diesen Ausmaßes verhindern und begannen eine zögerliche Entspannungspolitik. |

Denke auch, dass der Begriff eng mit der Besinnungspolitik der USA und UdSSR ab 62 zusammenhängt. Bis mitte der 70er Jahre bestimmte eine weniger ideologieverblendete und dafür realistische und auf Ausgleich zielende Politik die Beziehung zwischen den beiden Staaten. |

damit ist gemeint, dass die usa sich unter kennedy darauf konzentrierten ihre führungsrolle in der westlichen welt behaupten und die udssr als führungsmacht im sowjetischen lager anerkennen. anders ausgedrückt wurde der politische status quo im europa der frühen 60er anerkannt |
